8-Weeks, beginner focused, coached program for swim, bike, run and race preparation

TriLaVie is Southern California's premier triathlon and run training program for women offering local team training in Orange County, CA. TriLaVie provides high-quality programs to prepare you for the best triathlon and race experience of your life. Whether you are new to triathlon and running or competing for your personal best, TriLaVie gets you to your goal.

Race Goal: YOU CAN DO THIS!

iTRYathlon on July 28, 2012 at Northwood High School, Irvine, CA

3 mile run, 9 mile bike, 200m swim (8 laps in a pool)

 

When:

June 2 – July 28, 2012

Saturdays 8:30am – 10:00am

*optional weeknight training included in program

Where:

Orange County locations centered around Irvine appropriate for pool swims, safe cycling, beautiful runs and quality race preparation.  Location schedule provided when training starts.

Who:

Women ages 16-70 years old of all athletic abilities who are new to triathlons.

Basic Prerequisites for Participation:

Healthy women who have a strong desire to swim, bike and run – together!

Swim – must be water-safe and have basic swim skills. It doesn’t need to be pretty.

Bike – basic riding and bike handling skills for 30 minutes of riding.

Run – walk or run or walk/run for 20 minutes.

Levels – TriLaVie’s iTRYathlon Training is designed to meet the needs of women at the following athletic levels:

I.  Beginner with low-to-moderate fitness

II. Beginner with moderate to high fitness

III. Beginner with competitive goals

 IV. New triathletes who wants to improve skills, gain strength, get faster

Cost:

TriLaVie’s 8-week iTRYathlon Training program offers two (2) options:

  1. Individual Registration for about $220*
  2. Adult+Student Registration for about $320* (adult + female student ages 16-2 
    *Final pricing to will be announced soon 

$25 of the fee goes directly to IPSF

 

Training:

TriLaVie provides weekly coached, group training in swim, bike, run and race preparation.  For best results, plan 6-10 hours/week of training depending upon your goals and fitness.

Through the 8-week session, participants will attend coached training sessions with the group and receive the following:

  • a full triathlon training plan to follow on your own or with your new TriLaVie team mates
  • professional instruction on nutrition, mental preparation, strength and stretch.
  • Learning components on all aspects of solid triathlon training such as equipment, safety, race rules, strategies for successful swim, bike and run as well as strong racing.
  • TriLaVie Triathlon Training is high quality, professional, safe and applicable to all races.

Coaching:

TriLaVie coaches have certifications in triathlon, swim, run coaching and personal training.  Our coaches train and compete at all levels of triathlon including Ironman.  More importantly, TriLaVie coaches are passionate about YOUR success.  TriLaVie coaches are assisted by assistants, mentors and volunteers.  Your safety, satisfaction and success are our #1 priority.  More on our coaches at www.TriLaVie.com

Equipment: The Basics – nothing fancy needed!

  • Quality running shoes
  • operational bike- all styles, helmet mandatory!
  • swim suit (just cover the essential parts and we’re happy)
  • goggles
  • swim buoy
  • swim cap (provided)
  • comfortable training clothes
  • watch or technology to track time (garmins, phones, etc!)

*equipment review provided prior to training and on the first day.  TriLaVie members enjoy discounts at many local shops.  Be sure to check the website or inquire prior to purchasing.  We do not want you to over-buy for your first triathlon!

 

USA Triathlon (USAT):

TriLaVie is an official certified club of USAT, triathlon’s governing body. All training programs require membership in USAT which is $45 for 12 months.  Your membership covers your racing licenses for all races in the 12-month period as well as all TriLaVie Training Programs and multiple benefits and discounts for triathlon training and racing.
