City of Laguna Hills Memorial Day Half Marathon, 5K and Kid's Runs

This favorite Memorial Day running event takes place in the beautiful Orange County cities of Laguna Hills, Aliso Viejo, Laguna Woods, and Laguna Niguel. Runners and walkers of all experience levels are invited to come out and enjoy the Memorial Day festivities! With a half marathon (13.1 miles), 5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles) and a Kid’s Run (1/2 Mile), there is something for everyone! The event will host a 1-day Expo, so all events are on Memorial Day, May 31, 2010.

The half marathon and 5K both start in front of the Saddleback Memorial Medical Center and finish at the Laguna Hills Community Center. The Kids Races start and finish at the Laguna Hills Community Center.

Laguna Hills Half Marathon Speaker Series:

Interested in finding a training group, need tips on how to train for your first half marathon, or need tips on how to run a better half marathon??
The Laguna Hills Community Center is hosting a series of clinics with guest speakers from local running clubs that will give you the tools you need to accomplish your goals and be available to answer any crazy questions you might have. Click HERE for a PDF with all the clinic information.

Our South Orange County YMCA's will offer a Run or Walk Half Marathon Training Program (Laguna Niguel and Mission Viejo locations) for the Laguna Hills Memorial Day Half Marathon. Members and Community Members Welcome (13 yrs and older). Geared for first-timers, beginners, returning runners/walkers and veterans. We work with you based on your starting point.

If you've ever dreamed of finishing a half marathon but do not know how to get started, this program is for you!
