San Dimas Turkey Trot 5K, 10K & Kids Run

Come join us for a 5K Run/Walk, 10K Run &1/2 mile Kids Run - This is not your typical Turkey Trot. These holiday runs have a mixture of dirt and paved trails. You are going to feel like a pilgrim running across a stream and through the woods. This run has great mountain and lake views. Come out and burn those holiday calories. Take a break from your Christmas shopping and get out to Bonelli Park for a fun filled holiday run, you won't be sorry you did. Thinking about jogging with a stroller? The 5K course is all paved and fine for strollers but the 10K course is on trails and passes through a stream - and is not recommended for strollers.

This event benefits the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. The mission of the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is to mobilize resources to fight hunger in our community. To fulfill their mission they: Source and acquire food and other products and distribute to needy people through charitable agencies or directly through programs; Energize the community to get involved and support hunger relief; Conduct hunger education and awareness campaigns and advocate for public policies that alleviate hunger. Their vision is that no one goes hungry in Los Angeles County.

Bring one can or package of dry food, together we can make a big difference in people’s lives this holiday season.

Run in Costume

Special awards to the best costume. Come run as a Pilgrim, Turkey, or Indian, you pick. If you haven't run in costume before believe us when we say, it will pump up your fun factor 100%. Don't do it alone, bring your friends and family out and run in costume, it's fun for the whole family so don't forget the KIDS either! Keep your kids in the action and promote physical fitness with this 1/2 mile run. Each child will get a special prize at the finish line.

Age Divisions and Awards

Age groups are 13-14, 15-17, 18-19, an then in 5 year increments starting at 20-24 going through 85+.
Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in each division.

All kids run finishers will get finisher's award.

Volunteer

Volunteer for 6th annual running of Renegade Racing's Turkey Tri and Trot burn off those turkey calories, get community service hours and enjoy some pumpkin pie. The Turkey Trot 5k, 10k and kids run is Saturday, November 23rd with second helpings of the Turkey Tri and the Kids Duathlon on Sunday, November 24th, 2013.

From CA-57 exit Via Verde Drive

Turn Left and enter Bonelli Park at the first ticket booth
Bonelli Park charges a $10/vehicle park entrance fee. Please be prepared with the right amount of cash upon entry to the park.
Once through the park follow the parking signs

Race Rules

• Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable but participants may roll their entry fee to the following year if they send a written request prior to the race date
• Participants must be in good health and fit enough to participate in the event
• Participants must show photo ID at packet pickup to receive your bib, timing chip and other items associated with the event.
• Parents of children without photo ID may pick up race items on their child’s behalf
• Participants may pick up a family member’s or friend’s race items at early packet pickup if they provide a signed waiver and a copy of a photo ID of the participant they are picking up for
• All race day bib and timing chip pickups must be done by the participant
• Bib numbers are required to participate and those who attempt to participate without bib numbers will be removed from the course
• No bikes, inline skates, skateboards or dogs are allowed on the course.
• Baby joggers are allowed but must start in the back of the field to prevent accidents or collisions with other participants
• For safety reasons headphones are not permitted

Age Group Division Awards

Men and Women: 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85+
Youth:  6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, 16-19
Kids Runs and Kids Duathlons are non-competitive and will be timed but overall and age division awards will not be given.
