NO LONG COURSE TRIATHLON IN 2014
Renegade M3 Olympic Distance Tri
1.5K swim, 40K bike and 10k run (1500 meters/24.8 miles/6.2 miles)
Renegade M3 Sprint Distance Tri
"TRY the Merciful Side of the Mountain"
0.5 mile swim, 14 mile bike and 3 mile run
The Renegade M3 Tri races are hard, some past participants might say too hard. The bike ride travels over rough mountain roads that have epic climbs and the run is hot and dusty. These two triathlons are NO JOKE and IF YOU FINISH you’ll have a story that you can tell your grandchildren. No one has ever tattooed our race logo on their leg but that doesn’t make this race any less respectable. Come out and see if you are ready to Conquer the Mountain.
In 2014 there will be no half Ironman distance race.
The Olympic and Sprint distance triathons will be treated to a beautiful calm swim in Castaic Lake. The Sport Chalet M3 Tri's have a “European Style” bike course with epic views of the local mountains. The bike course starts and finishes at Castaic Lake. The run will travel on paths and roads through the Castaic Lake Recreation Area and has awesome views of the lake.
Finishers will be part of a fabulous celebration that includes post event music and refreshments. All finishers will get a finishers medal and event technical T-Shirt. You don’t want to miss Los Angeles’ only long distance triathlon.
M3 BIKE COURSE PRE-RIDES
This is road triathlon but participants should have good bike handling skills for the long climbs and steep descents. We sugest participants go out and pre-ride the bike course before the race.
